Is Ajith Teaming Up With Rajamouli?
If sources in the industry are to be believed, then we can call it a casting coup of sorts! Star director S.S. Rajamouli, who is getting a lot of critical acclaim for his recent entertainer Naan Ee (Eega), will soon wield the megaphone for a period fantasy bilingual flick that will feature Ajith Kumar in Tamil and a top star in the Telugu version. Tinsel town was abuzz with this news after Thala watched Naan Ee at a multiplex in ECR, after which he called up Rajamouli and expressed his wholehearted appreciation for the filmmaker. The film has proved to be a hit and is creating records at the box-office.
The news came as a surprise to many in Tollywood, as the star maker had recently stated that he couldn’t take up the adventure of directing Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie, which has been in the news for a long time now.
Rajamouli’s cousin and popular music composer Maragatha Mani had stated earlier that Rajamouli was interested in making experimental movies, rather than predictable fare.

Sources in the know say that Ajith and Rajamouli have been maintaining a warm relationship since they met quite a few times in Hyderabad, while the former was shooting for Billa 2. Rajamouli is also toying with the idea of making a straight Tamil movie. A little birdie tells us that the movie will be based on the timeless epic, Mahabharata, and will focus on Brahmarshi Vishvamitra.
