has always been a good market for Tamil films and films featuring most
of the saleable stars in Tamil Nadu, generate good income in Malaysia
too.
Ajith's Arrambam which released on October 31 has been performing well
all over the world and Malaysia has been no exception. His previous
films such as Billa and Mankatha were good hits in Malaysia and now
Arrambam has collected close to 5 crores (788469 USD) in its opening
weekend (October 31 to November 3), from 80 screens with a healthy per
screen average of 9856 USD
Arrambam opened at Number
2 in the said weekend behind only Thor: The Dark World. Azhaguraja
opened at Number 3 while Krrish 3 was at Number 9.
Arrambam continued its presence in the Malaysian Top 5 in its second
weekend as well and the gross at the end of the 2nd weekend is awaited.
